Engineer, Backend - Markets

We are seeking suitable candidates for backend developer roles responsible for the development of Blockchain and digital asset related applications with a specific focus on trading and market making. You will be working closely with markets business team members,  product manager and the front and backend development teams

• Design and development of backend services;
• Design and update architecture diagrams and sequence diagrams in a micro services context;
• Develop applications supporting integration with exchanges, market making and risk management;
• Integration with 3rd party digital asset exchanges and dApps;
• Adapt applications and flows according to different business requirements;
• Working closely with backend and DevOps teams.
  

• 3+ years’ experience in backend development;
• Experience in the markets sector, such as trading applications, exchanges, market making, low latency architectures
• Experience with geographically distributed systems
• Experience with Rust, Golang or other strong typed languages.;
• Experience in building exchange connectivity with FIX or OUCH/ITCH like protocols would be an advantage
• Experience in network socket programming (TCP/UDP) and kernel network bypass techniques would be a plus
• Familiarity with financial products such as derivatives (perpetual swaps, dated futures, options) is a plus
• Familiar with Docker, building and deploying images in a CI/CD context
• Experience with message queue/broker systems
• Experience with developing applications in a microservices architecture
• Familiar with OpenAPI standards, declaration and documentation
• Familiar with SQL and relational db data schemas
• Focus on adequate unit testing coverage
• Experience in Shell scripting;
• Ability to work collaboratively with team members;
• Attention to detail, with the ability to work independently in an often fast-paced environment;
• Good planning, coordination, and communication skills;
• Interest in blockchain, digital assets, trading, and security.
