As an Engineer, you will conduct technical and economic evaluations, performance testing, design and construction of new and existing facilities, and research on new developments, applying your strong understanding of industry and operational requirements. Taking the initiative and anticipating customer needs will make you a standout player. Responsibilities/Expectations:
  • Accounts for a diverse range of sophisticated assignments requiring the use of experience, innovation and judgment 

  • May supervise the work of others 

  • Demonstrates technical expertise in a specialty, geographic area, or operational function and applies specialized knowledge in the effective completion of large scope projects 

  • Prepares and delivers presentations 

  • Anticipates internal/external customer needs; assesses requirements and identifies solutions 

  • Interprets internal/external business challenges and improves products, processes or services 

  • Collaborates with teams to ensure compliance, build improvement plans and meet training needs 

  • Champions processes, procedures and safety standards 

  • Monitors and controls costs and resources associated with projects 

  • Other duties as assigned

Education/Years of Experience:
  • Required: Bachelor’s Degree in relevant Engineering field from an accredited college or university, OR Bachelor's Degree in Engineering Technology in a relevant field with Professional Engineer (P.E.) license; A minimum of eight (8) years' engineering experience in the natural gas or petrochemical industry

  • Preferred: PE Certification

Other Requirements:

  • Demonstrates excellent organizational/interpersonal skills and safety as a main priority 

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Application and PC skills 

  • Proficiency in engineering specialties covering more than one subject area 

  • Required: Experience developing control engineering documents (Control Narrative, Cause & Effect, Control Philosophy, etc.)

  • Required: Experience commissioning midstream facilities

  • Required: Strong working knowledge of natural gas processing and process control

  • Required: Working experience with HMI software, including but not limited to RS View/FactoryTalk View, Wonderware

  • Required: Solid working knowledge of NEC code, API RP 500, applicable regulations surrounding electrical power and instrumentation systems in midstream industry

  • Required: High level of expertise in industry standard control systems, specifically Allen Bradley PLCs and SCADAPack PLCs

  • Required: Experience with implementing control strategies commonly utilized in compression facilities, including PID control loops, motor controls, alarm management and advanced controls

  • Preferred: Experience working in a Preliminary-Front End Engineering and Design (Pre-FEED), Front End Engineering Design (FEED), or Engineering, Procurement, Construction (EPC) of small to medium facility projects 

  • Preferred: Experience providing technical recommendations in the design, construction, and modification of Instrumentation and electrical systems for new or existing facilities

  • Preferred: Working experience with implementing control strategies commonly utilized in midstream facilities

  • Preferred: Working experience with Instrumentation, including but not limited to flow meters, analyzers, level transmitters, pressure transmitters, temperature transmitters, etc
