Your Responsibilities
As an Engineer, Advanced Engineering for Intelligent Solutions Group (Fargo - Plant) located in Fargo, ND, you will:

  • Design, develop, test, debug, and implement embedded software and hardware
  • Develop software and firmware in C/C++ and other relevant languages
  • Understand and utilize communications interfaces like SPI, I2C, CAN, LIN, USB, Ethernet, etc.
  • Participate in and/or lead requirements development and design for embedded software and hardware
  • Develop and/or document software/hardware requirements and design specifications
  • Develop schematics, PCB layouts, and circuit designs
  • Interface and/or collaborate cross-functionally with resources like Software Engineering, Electronics Design, Product Verification & Validation (PV&V), Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing, and Supply Management
  • Provide support for testing, deployment, and updates
  • Integrate and validate new product designs

What Skills You Need

  • Two or more years of related experience
  • Solid programming experience with languages like C/C++ and Python
  • Hands-on development and troubleshooting of embedded systems targets
  • Proficiency with software configuration management tools, defect tracking tools, and development tools
  • Adequate knowledge of hardware design and reading schematics
  • Proficiency in using CAD tools for schematic capture
  • Familiarity with JTAG debuggers, Oscilloscopes, Logic Analyzers, etc.
  • Strong documentation and writing skills
  • Willingness to travel up to 25%


What Makes You Standout

  • Previous experience developing software and hardware for automotive and/or off-road embedded systems
  • Experience with embedded real-time operating systems and Linux
  • Good understanding of communications protocols like CAN, LIN, Ethernet, WiFi and Bluetooth
  • Experience with various development tools such as Matlab/Simulink, GitHub, and Docker
  • Proficiency with simulation tools, like SPICE or LTSPICE
  • Proficiency with high-frequency circuit design
  • Proficiency in PCB layout
  • Experience with ARM cores, FPGAs and GPUs
  • Experience with parallel programming languages, such as CUDA and OpenCL
  • Experience with AI/ML and Computer Vision tools, such as PyTorch, Tensor Flow, and ONNX
  • Have a natural tendency to question the status quo, explore new technologies, and seek out solutions to complex problems


Education
Degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Software, or Computer Engineering
