Job Summary

Responsible for participating as an individual contributor in project teams, troubleshooting operational issues, providing technical solutions to operational problems, new product implementation, implementing existing products and services and the overall upkeep and maintenance of designated areas of engineering. Interfaces with vendors, engineering and peer operations organizations. Acts in compliance with industry and Company technical requirements, standards, policies and procedures. Provides technical leadership to junior Engineers and project teams. Has in-depth experience, knowledge and skills in own discipline. Integrates knowledge of business and functional priorities. Acts as a key contributor in a complex and crucial environment. May lead teams or projects and shares expertise.

Job Description

Responsibilities: 

  • Deploy, configure and maintain infrastructure and applications 

  • Support day-to-day operations, including network, infrastructure and application troubleshooting and ticket resolution 

  • Collaborate with internal engineering and network teams to resolve issues; assist in root cause analysis (RCA) under the guidance of senior specialists 

  • Develop and maintain tools or scripts designed to automate routine system operations 

  • Configure and implement configuration management tools (such as Puppet, Chef, Ansible, Terraform) 

  • Assist in maintaining observability tools (e.g., Grafana, Prometheus, etc.) by developing sophisticated dashboards, alerting systems, and performance metrics for applications and infrastructure 

  • Collect and analyze performance metrics to ensure optimal service delivery 

  • Support CI/CD pipeline maintenance and deployment workflows 

  • Ensure operational readiness for application deployment by performing testing, developing dashboards and alarms, and writing support playbooks 

  • Expertise to perform coding, debugging, testing, and troubleshooting of network service applications 

  • Participate in the on-call rotation by monitoring system health, availability, and performance metrics and responding to incidents, outages or customer inquiries 

  • Document processes, procedures, and best practices 

Education, Skill, and Requirements: 

  • Preferred - B.S. in Computer Science, Electrical or Computer Engineering (or equivalent professional experience) 

  • 4+ years combined service reliability/operational experience and software development and engineering experience for large scale, high performance distributed systems. 

  • Strong working knowledge of networking concepts and application protocols such as TCP/IP, BGP, DNS, TLS, and HTTP/S 

  • Strong knowledge managing and debugging Unix/Linux systems 

  • Working experience with creating and maintaining automation written in scripting languages (Python, Bash, Perl) 

  • Understanding of web technologies: HTTP/HTTPS, DNS, TLS, HTML/CSS/JS basics 

  • Experience in Golang/C/ C++/Python 

  • Working experience of GitHub and GitHub Actions 

  • Experience in configuration management tools (Puppet, Chef, Ansible, Terraform) 

  • Experience in creating dashboard (Grafana, Kibana, Tableau) 

  • Customer-focused delivery under agile methodology. 

  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. 

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment. 

  • Excellent writing and communication skills.

Bachelor's Degree
