Summary: Under direct supervision, works with staff to support the Library’s strategic goals and initiatives by assisting customers and providing relevant and timely programs and services, both inside and outside the library.
This position will be assigned to the Ronald J. Norick Downtown Library, which is located at 300 Park Avenue in Oklahoma City, OK 73102.
The hiring salary for this position is $22.22 hourly. This is a half-time position working 20 hours per week. This position is not exempt from the federal Fair Labor Standards Act. The current need for this position requires that the candidate be available to work one of three shifts: Monday from 8:00 to 2:00 pm, Thursday from 8:00 to 2:00 pm and Saturday from 8:00 to 5:00 pm or Monday to Wednesday from 5:00 to 9:00 pm and Saturday from 8:00 to 5:00 pm or Thursday from 5:00 to 9:00 pm, Friday from 9:00 to 6:00 pm and Saturday from 8:00 to 5:00 pm.*

QualificationsMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science from an accredited college or university; and
- One year of customer service experience.

- Enthusiasm for public service and the ability to work well with a diverse audience.
- Experience building sustainable community relationships.
- High level of comfort with program planning, implementation, and evaluation.
