JOB SUMMARY: Under direct supervision, the Engagement Specialist II works with staff to support the Library's strategic goals and initiatives by assisting customers and providing relevant and timely programs and services, both inside and outside the library. This particular position will work with guests of all ages but will have a specific interest in programming geared toward those ages 5 to 12.
This position will be assigned to the Belle Isle Library, which is located at 5501 N. Villa Avenue in Oklahoma City, OK 73112.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science from an accredited college or university; and
- One year of customer service experience.
HIGHLY PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES:
- Enthusiasm for public service and the ability to work well with a diverse audience.
- Experience building sustainable community relationships.
The hiring salary for this position is $21.79 hourly. This is a full-time position working 40 hours per week. This position is classified as non-exempt from the federal Fair Labor Standards Act. The current need for this position requires that the candidate be available to work the following days: Monday from 12:00 to 9:00 pm, Tuesday to Friday from 9:00 to 6:00 pm and a rotating weekend shift.*
