Job Description

About the role

As the Engagement Manager, you'll play a key role in supporting students enrolled in our Community Services programs by developing and managing relationships with community organisations and industry partners throughout Queensland.

Working closely with internal and external key stakeholders, you will identify and secure high quality placement opportunities that deliver meaningful real-world experience for students while strengthening Acknowledge Education’s industry connections

Based at our Brisbane campus in Fortitude Valley, this position offers a flexible hybrid work arrangement and includes regular visits to partner organisations, community agencies, and placement providers in and around the CBD.

What you'll be doing

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with community services organisations and industry stakeholders.
  • Identify, negotiate and secure quality placement opportunities for students.
  • Act as a trusted partner to placement providers, supporting long-term collaboration and engagement.
  • Work closely with academic staff to ensure placement opportunities align with course requirements and student needs.
  • Support students throughout their placement journey, ensuring a positive and successful experience.
  • Gather and utilise feedback from industry partners to enhance student readiness and placement outcomes.
  • Proactively address placement challenges and work collaboratively to achieve positive outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate records and stakeholder information to support future planning and growth.
  • Contribute to strategic placement planning to meet increasing student demand.

Qualifications

What you'll bring

We're looking for someone who enjoys working with people and is passionate about creating opportunities through strong partnerships.

You will ideally have:

  • Experience in stakeholder engagement, relationship management, business development, community services, education, workforce development, or a related field.
  • Strong networking and partnership-building skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • A proactive and solutions-focused approach.
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities and build trusted relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders.
  • Experience working within the community services, not-for-profit, health, training, education, or human services sectors will be highly regarded.
  • Understanding of student placements, workforce pathways, or industry engagement initiatives is advantageous.

A qualification in Community Services, Social Work, Management, Education, or a related discipline is desirable but not essential.
