This 12-month, full-time role, offers a unique chance for a motivated individual to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic, collaborative environment at the intersection of sustainability and communications.

The Frontiers Planet Prize is a global science competition designed to mobilize the entire academic community, and reward solutions that help humanity remain within the boundaries of our planet. Each edition recognizes a National Champion from every participating country, as well as three International Champions, each of whom is awarded 1 million USD to accelerate and scale their research.

  • Engage with National Champions and the Frontiers scientist network to develop professional content such as summaries, articles, posters, and presentations to be showcased at the annual awards ceremony and throughout the year.
  • Act as a point of contact for National Champions and external partners, coordinating initiatives, drafting proposals, and organizing application submissions, with guidance from the Associate Director.
  • Assist in summarizing key insights from initiatives where Frontiers Planet Prize has a presence, helping craft articles and thought pieces for publication on the FPP website and social media channels.
  • Help coordinate annual reports and progress updates, including brochures and donor reports, to communicate the Prize’s impact.

Content Amplification:

  • Work with the Frontiers communications team to promote the Prize’s content and achievements, including multimedia materials from the prize community.
  • Support social media initiatives by ensuring timely, organic posting of relevant content, increasing the Prize’s reach and visibility.
  • Coordinate with communications, social media, and external affairs teams to amplify FPP’s deliverables, maximizing their impact on key platforms.

Event Support at the Frontiers Planet Prize Awards Ceremony:

  • Play an active role in the awards ceremony delivery team, participating as a contributing team member during the live event.

Additional Responsibilities:

Qualifications:

  • Academic background in sustainability, environmental science, communications, or a related field.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Proven interest in sustainability, scientific communication, and community engagement.
  • Strong team player with a proactive approach to tasks and responsibilities.
  • Keen attention to detail.

This fixed-term position is a chance to work on high-impact projects with a mission-driven organization dedicated to science for planetary well-being. If you’re eager to grow in a supportive, fast-paced environment, we’d love to hear from you!
