Summary of Role:

As a CMOS and Si photonics device engineer, you will be working on the development and qualification of CMOS and Si photonic devices for high-speed optical interconnect and sensing applications in 45nm & beyond.  The specific job focus will be identifying potential improvements in performance and manufacturability of CMOS and Silicon Photonic Devices through data mining of in-line, electrical and optical signals. 

Essential Responsibilities include:

• Analyzing process, electrical and optical measurement trends

• Proposing process or design improvements to reduce variability or improve electrical and optical device performance

• Identifying additional or alternate measurements to better predict final device figures of merit

• Enabling/coding updated tests/measurements of new test structures

Other Responsibilities:

• Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs.

Required Qualifications:

• Education – bachelor’s or master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Materials Engineering or a related field of study.

• Must have at least an overall 3.0 GPA and proven good academic standing.

• Language Fluency - English (Written & Verbal)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior related internship or co-op experience.

• Demonstrated prior leadership experience in the workplace, school projects, competitions, etc.

• Project management skills, i.e. the ability to innovate and execute on solutions that matter; the ability to navigate ambiguity.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Strong planning & organizational skills

• Scripting or Coding experience in R or Python

$52,500.00 - $107,000.00
