Job Requirements
Candidates should have 1–2 years of experience in energy, project finance, corporate, or other relevant transactional practice. Experience supporting energy project development, M&A, or project finance transactions involving sponsors, investors, developers, suppliers, and/or lenders is preferred.
Candidates should have an interest in, and preferably some exposure to, offtake agreements, interconnection agreements, and other project agreements. Familiarity with energy regulation, project real property, and permitting is a plus.
Candidates should be collaborative, detail-oriented, and eager to develop their transactional skills. Responsibilities may include assisting with the drafting and review of primary and ancillary transaction documents—such as purchase and sale agreements, investment agreements (including tax equity), financing agreements, and joint venture agreements—under the supervision of more senior attorneys. Associates will also support due diligence, transaction management, coordination with clients and internal specialist teams, and preparation of client communications and work product. Candidates should be comfortable taking on increasing responsibility and working the hours expected in a fast-paced, busy practice.
Admission to at least one state bar is required.
The expected pay range for this position is: Washington, D.C: from $225,000 to $235,000 per year
Boston: from from $225,000 to $240,000 per year Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience, location, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
