Job Description
Your missions:
- Energy Management: creating and reporting of KPIs to the management; identifying and unsupervised working on improvement ideas; continuous improvement of energy management system
- Preparing and participating in energy management audits e.g., DIN ISO 50001 as well as ensuring compliance with the standard
- Independently identifying energy-saving potential and planning technical energy-saving measures to achieve specified energy-saving targets
- Coordinating with process participants, as well as coordination of the tasks of the energy management team including training to promote competence
- Being the internal contact person for central energy topics at the Wittenberg site, leading EMEA regional meeting and presenting key results/learnings and project progress in global meetings
- Leading identification and execution, and tracking process optimization activities and projects in production, quality, and logistics by utilizing standardized Lean tools and methods to achieve goals
- Utilizing data analysis and establishing metrics to measure the effectiveness and impact of process optimization initiatives
- Being the contact person for all Operations regarding Lean tools (e.g. VSM, Kanban, line balancing, theory of constraints, single piece flow, standard work, SMED, 5S, Quality at the Source, process capability, rolled throughput yield management, inventory reduction, etc.)
- Participating in and facilitating process optimization workshops and events, including Kaizen events, to drive continuous improvement in the organization
- Maintaining professional and technical knowledge through world class manufacturing benchmarking
- Developing and monitoring KPIs for the site on direct connection with the Asset Manager
- Ensuring compliance with Company regulations concerning safety, health and environmental (SHE), maintenance, production, quality and energy management
Qualifications
Your profile:
- At least 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment or chemical industry, preferably in agribusiness
- Demonstrated vision in business and finance
- Demonstrated interest and first successes in implementing lean methodologies and continuous improvement techniques such as Kaizen, Six Sigma, or similar
- Experience in SCADA Systems (desirable: Siemens PCS 7)
- Strong lean skills/abilities such as: Process Flow Mapping, Value Stream Mapping, 5S/Visual Factory, TPM, QCO-SMED, Standard Work, Process Problem Solving, Built in Quality, Just In Time, Kaizen/Continuous Improvement, Hoshin Kanri, and Lean ROIA
- Solid understanding of manufacturing and supply chain processes
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively work with cross-functional teams
- Strong analytical skills and experience with data analysis and metrics
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- English and German fluent
