Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain Aurora’s suite of energy market models
- Work closely with our software and engineering teams to turn Aurora’s models into software that delivers actionable insight for real‑world energy decision
- Collaborate with our research and consulting teams to derive insights from model results
- Contribute to continuously improving how the modelling team operates
What we are looking for
- Relevant degree in Physics, Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics or another quantitative field
- A genuine enjoyment of working through complex problems and the ability to explain your reasoning clearly
- Experience working with quantitative data through coursework, projects, or internships, including analysing data and drawing insights
- Familiarity with at least one programming language, such as Python or similar
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Proficiency in English
- Relevant Master’s degree or PhD
- Internship, research, or work experience in a quantitative or technical setting
- An interest in energy markets and how well-designed models improve real-world decisions
- Knowledge of statistical and/or optimization techniques
- Comfortable using AI tools to support coding and analysis, with a critical eye for reviewing AI-generated outputs
