Job Overview
The Energy Marshal will oversee energy management, ensure operational efficiency, and maintain compliance with safety and environmental standards in this state-of-the-art data center facility.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and optimize energy usage within the data center to ensure maximum efficiency.
- Conduct regular inspections of power systems, cooling systems, and other critical infrastructure.
- Implement and enforce energy conservation measures and sustainability initiatives.
- Coordinate with facility teams to maintain uptime and reliability of data center operations.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other relevant regulations.
- Analyze energy consumption data and provide reports to management.
- Respond to energy-related emergencies and troubleshoot issues promptly.
- Train staff on energy management best practices and safety protocols.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in data center operations or energy management.
- Strong knowledge of power distribution, HVAC systems, and energy monitoring tools.
- Familiarity with data center infrastructure management (DCIM) software.
- Understanding of electrical systems and energy efficiency standards.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., OSHA, LEED, or energy management) are a plus.
- High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field preferred.
