About the role
The Energy Expert is responsible for providing technical guidance on all energy-related aspects of the project, ensuring compliance with national policies and international standards. The role focuses on the planning, design, and implementation of efficient and sustainable energy solutions, including renewable energy systems
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and supervise the installation of renewable energy systems (e.g., solar PV nano-grids, solar-powered lighting)
- Assess energy needs for flood shelters and community infrastructure to recommend sustainable solutions
- Ensure energy-efficient practices are implemented throughout the project to minimize greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions
- Review and approve energy system designs, specifications, and installation plans
- Provide technical guidance for the procurement and installation of solar streetlights and renewable energy equipment.
About You:
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or a Masters in Renewable Energy or relevant field
- Minimum 12 years of experience, with at least 08 years of proven experience in renewable energy sector, project management and supervision
- Experience in strong practical experience in Solar Home System, solar powered drinking water system, Solar Street light and LED based solar system
- Experience of work with World Bank, ADB, JICA or any Development Partner funding project is preferable
