Resource Innovations is seeking a Field Operations Manager to join our growing team in California. We are looking for an experienced Field Operations Manager with a background in working with contractors and the installation of energy-efficient equipment. In this role, you will support the Energy Savings Assistance Program by building strong relationships with contractors, managing performance metrics, supporting training initiatives, and driving positive energy savings outcomes. You will collaborate with the Program Delivery and Management Team to guide program requirements, coordinate on client needs, and improve quality assurance and control. Your expertise in utility programs and energy efficiency will be crucial in helping contractors succeed and achieving organizational goals.

Duties and Responsibilities

Field Engagement-

  • Act as the primary point of contact and trusted advisor for contractors in the field, fostering strong working relationships to boost program participation, success, and quality assurance/quality control goals.
  • Conduct field visits with contractors to provide hands-on training and identify areas for improvement.
  • Program Execution: Oversee the implementation of program goals, key performance indicators, and project timelines.
  • Training and Capacity Building: Develop and facilitate custom training initiatives aligned with program objectives and performance improvement in delivering energy-efficient project installations and high customer satisfaction.
  • KPI Tracking: Develop and track required KPIs related to contractor performance in energy efficiency projects.
  • Performance Improvement: Regularly collaborate with contractors to improve performance, address issues, and promote success.
  • Data Analysis: Analyze performance data to identify areas for process optimization within energy efficiency project delivery.
  • Process Improvement: Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance overall efficiency and project results.
  • Program Management: Contribute to project plans, measure launch plans, and reporting.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Ability to travel up to 80% locally within the state of California (Central Valley and Bay Area).
  • 5+ years of experience in the energy efficiency industry, with a solid understanding of the contractor landscape and networks.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with individuals and businesses from diverse backgrounds.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
  • Enthusiasm for sustainability, energy efficiency, and the mission of our organization.

Preferred skills, education and experience

  • Current or previous holder of General Contracting, HVAC, and/or plumbing license. 
  • Bachelor's degree in energy management, business administration, sustainability, or a related field.
  • Strong computer skills, including ability to utilize basic functionality of MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and web-based
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and detail-oriented with a proven track record of successful project management.

The compensation range for this exempt position is $54,065 - $95,000 The stated range is based on a good faith estimate of the compensation range for the duties, responsibilities and skills / experience required for the position. Starting pay will be dependent on experience and internal equity. This range may be exceeded for well-qualified candidates, especially with industry experience.
