Energy Component Consultant
We are seeking an analytical and customer-focused professional to support a suite of upstream revenue accounting applications that are essential to business operations. The successful candidate will work closely with users, support teams, and technology partners across global locations to deliver application support, troubleshoot issues, implement enhancements, and drive operational excellence.
Additional value will be placed on candidates with a strong technology background, including experience in Java full-stack development, Oracle Exadata, and managing applications and databases in cloud environments utilizing platforms such as AWS ROSA, AWS RDS, and other AWS services.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide end-to-end application support, including incident management, service request fulfillment, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, application configuration, minor enhancements, system maintenance, and user enablement activities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional IT teams supporting SAP, non-SAP, integration, infrastructure, and enterprise platforms to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Engage with business stakeholders to understand operational needs, analyze requirements, and recommend effective technology solutions.
- Configure applications, implement approved changes, and execute unit, system, and integration testing to ensure solution quality and stability.
- Partner closely with business users, vendors, and external service providers to resolve issues and support ongoing business operations.
- Participate in release planning, effort estimation, sprint execution, and continuous improvement initiatives within an Agile delivery model.
- Develop and maintain support documentation, knowledge articles, and operational procedures to improve service efficiency and user experience.
- Identify opportunities to automate repetitive processes, streamline workflows, and enhance application reliability and performance.
Skills and Qualifications
- Previous experience supporting financial applications for Upstream processes (such as Energy Components and/or CGI Production Accounting Solution and/or EDI viewer), or experience in Upstream Accounting
- Previous full stack development experience using JAVA, Oracle Exadata
- Previous experience of hosting web applications and databases on cloud using AWS services like Red Hat OpenShift Service on AWS (ROSA), AWS RDS etc
- Understanding of cloud computing, integration techniques, APIs, and programming languages (SQL, Java, Javascript, Python)
- Previous experience with data visualization tools (e.g., PowerBI, SAP BOBI Crystal Reporting)
- Knowledge of modern authentication and authorization
- Develop scripts or workflows to automate repetitive tasks
- Support internal audits and regulatory compliance reporting
Skills Required
