Title: Energy and Industry Program Researcher

We are seeking a detail-oriented, self-motivated candidate to help government clients implement and evolve their energy efficiency, decarbonization, and sustainability programs. This position will be based in our Reston, VA headquarters in a hybrid work environment, with time split between home and office. The successful candidate will support the implementation of high-profile public-private partnership programs to drive energy efficiency and emissions reductions across industrial and commercial markets. They will be part of a team that builds and maintains relationships with key market actors, compiles and analyzes energy consumption data, develops outreach opportunities and materials, supports development of tools and case studies, and collaborates with other team members and clients to develop national and regional strategies to increase participation in energy and decarbonization programs.

What you will be doing:
· Supporting the execution of government clean energy partnership programs, especially for the manufacturing sector
· Supporting all phases of government program or project management, from project inception to closeout
· Supporting the tracking, review and analysis of program data and team progress with individual partner organizations
· Synthesizing and analyzing data and model related to energy technologies and trends
· Maintaining detailed records in a customer management system
· Developing technical communications (reports, white papers, fact sheets, research summaries, briefings, meeting notes)
· Developing mass-market communications (broadcast emails, marketing content)
· Conducting internet and literature research
· Engaging and communicating with internal and external program stakeholder groups, including understanding stakeholder group needs, priorities, and issues
· Engaging and communicating with clients on program management, strategic planning, online and in-person event planning
· Reviewing energy consumption and greenhouse emissions data for individual sites and organization portfolios of facilities to assist in benchmarking performance against peers, improving performance, and achieving recognition for decarbonization achievements
What we need you to have: (minimum requirements)
· Bachelor’s degree in energy, resource management, economics, policy analysis, integrated science and technology, or a related field.
· 1+ year of experience with advanced writing and copy editing (academic or internship experience accepted)
What we would like you to have: (preferred skills/experience)
· Demonstrated experience in energy analysis or consulting
· Experience working with U.S. federal government agencies
· Experience working with the industrial sector in an energy efficiency/management capacity
· Demonstrated excellence in writing and editing for technical and non-technical audiences
· Demonstrated excellence working with spreadsheets or databases
· Experience with greenhouse gas inventory calculations
· Experience with Salesforce
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
· Advanced analytical and Excel skills
· Basic programming skills, including Excel macros
· Effective prioritization and organization of tasks
· Professional demeanor and ability to balance respect, decisiveness, and tenacity
· Ability and interest to learn and adapt in a dynamic environment.

Pay Range - There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position.
The pay range for this position based on full-time employment is:
$54,397.00 - $92,475.00
