Responsibilities Include:

  • As part of a multi-functional, matrixed team, this ILS Director will be responsible for facilitating the development of logistics support, plans, product support analyses, product support data, and logistics product data summaries.

  • Coordinate logistics support program activities in the areas of spares, technical data, test equipment, field service, training, field and in-house modification programs, and change control with customers

  • Establish a depot capability for the modernization, repair, and return to service activities.

  • Developing and implementing appropriate product support arrangements to facilitate achieving desired product support outcomes

  • Developing the processes, policies, and procedures necessary for the depot repair cycle process.

  • Coordinating with technical design activities, vendors, logisticians, and engineers to define and revise acquisition and supportability requirements for system upgrades and rapid capability planning.

  • Will develop in-process review briefings, review; comment on, and develop logistics related documents, plans and report; draft technical papers; focus and guide project teams; monitor cost and schedule of projects; participate in project evaluations; respond to customer inquiries; and verify product technical quality.

  • Will report to Leidos Program Manager while providing direct support to leadership on all technical logistics efforts, integration.

  • As a team lead, will conduct hiring actions, establish employee goals and objectives, monitor performance, and facilitate employee recognition activities and incentive programs.

  • Will develop, review, document and resolve issues pertaining to Integrated Product Support elements, such as design interface, sustaining engineering or maintenance, manpower, supply support, training and training support, package and handling, storage and transportation, technical data and facilities.

  • The ILS Director will facilitate the development and submission of military standard compliant technical manuals and detailed training plans and programs in support of limited fielding and test events.

  • Serve as the primary liaison between the Government and the Contractor to ensure all tasks are prioritized, completed on time, and of the highest quality.

Basic Qualifications:

  • The position requires a B.S. degree with at least 12 years of applicable experience or 10 with master’s degree.

  • Experience with and an understanding of the Army Two-Level Maintenance.

  • Experience with organic sustainment core capabilities - facilities, equipment, personnel to support system repairs.

  • Experience with establishing and operating a depot level supply and maintenance activity, to include receipt, technical inspection, repair and return to stockage of identified GFE system components.

  • Experience with providing status reports to the government stakeholders concerned with the operation of the depot level supply and maintenance activity.

  • Experience with providing logistics support and strategic guidance for the system, ensuring efficient use of resources and alignment with Army objectives.

  • Familiarity with Mil-Std 40051-1/2, MIL-HDBK-1222, MIL-PRF-63002, MIL-STD-38784, MIL-STD-1388B, GEIA-STD-0007 and how they relate to Technical Manuals.

  • Understanding of Provisioning, Source, Maintenance, and Recoverability Codes, and RPSTLs.

  • Ability to assess and apply Earned Value Management (EVM) principles.

  • Experience with Microsoft Office and PowerPoint

  • Experience with Microsoft Office Project

  • Resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate to the Huntsville - North Alabama, AL area.

  • Candidate must be a US Citizen and possess (and be able to maintain) a Final Secret Clearance or meet the eligibility to obtain (and maintain) a Secret Clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.

  • Deep understanding of the requisites of the repair and return process for major weapon systems.

  • Experience collaborating with multiple, interdepartmental teams to mitigate and preclude obsolescence across major weapon platforms.

Pay Range:Pay Range $148,850.00 - $269,075.00
