Program Description
This internship is designed to help you grow your skills and knowledge with guidance from experienced mentors, giving you practical, hands-on experience as you begin your journey in Data Engineering.
You’ll explore key areas such as SQL, Snowflake, PowerBI, Python, Spark, Cloud Technologies (Azure Data Fundamentals, Azure Data Lake Storage etc), Git, CI/CD pipeline, containerization, orchestration, project lifecycle, Scrum/Agile methodology.
What do I need to be an internship candidate?
- Be a student in an IT-related field such as Software Development, Data Science, or a similar discipline, and/or have some foundational experience with programming, data science or similar. Be sure to include any personal projects, as well as any bootcamps, workshops, or courses you’ve completed, in your resume.
- Great command of the English language.
- Have at least 30 hours available per week.
- Please include all the technical projects you've built in your resume or GitHub profile, if any.
- Successfully pass the selection process.
Details
Duration: 11 weeks (August 18th – October 31st)
- Schedule: 30 man-hours/week/student, presence at the local Encora office.
Structure:
- Weeks 1-4: lessons, with classes and exercises, coordinated by selected technical leads & HCU;
- Weeks 5-10: team project, applying and diving into details; all work, activities & mentorship to be completed under the selected technical leads & HCUs reviews;
- Week 11: final reviews, tests, demo sessions, project presentation and feedback.
