Enablement manager

Hybrid role to be based in our London or Edinburgh office.

About us

Seccl is the Octopus-owned embedded investment platform that’s on a mission to helping more people to invest – and invest well.

We’re B-Corp certified with an amazing product-market fit, impressive early traction and the potential to transform an outdated industry, for the better. We've been growing fast and will scale even faster over the next few years.

We’re also proud to be part of Octopus, the £multi billion group that's on a mission to breathe new life into broken industries, through companies like Octopus Energy, Octopus Investments and Octopus Money.

Check out the Seccl website for the latest on our products and our mission to shape the future of investments.

The role

Our enablement team helps keep Seccl running smoothly, unlocks efficiency and drives the strategic projects that fuel our future.

We’re a small, dynamic team of strategic thinkers, creative problem solvers and hands-on doers. As our enablement manager, you’ll sit at the heart of how we run and improve our business – keeping the wheels turning while building a better engine along the way.

This is a varied, fast-paced and high-impact role with loads of opportunity to grow. You’ll play a hands-on role in making things better – partnering with others to solve problems, deliver strategic projects, improve processes and help us become more efficient as we scale. You’ll also own the day-to-day rhythm of the business, support our operational governance forums and provide impactful insights through our MI and reporting.

You’ll be a blend of a senior business analyst and project manager - commercially minded, delivery-focused and great with people. You’ll thrive on turning complex problems into clear plans, rolling up your sleeves to make things happen and bringing teams together to deliver outcomes that make a real difference.

On a typical day you will...

  • Lead cross-functional projects that make Seccl run better – identifying pain points, designing practical improvements, and keeping delivery on track

  • Drive strategic initiatives from idea to impact – managing timelines, aligning teams and removing blockers along the way

  • Keep the business moving smoothly – coordinating governance forums, preparing materials, and ensuring clear decisions and follow-through

  • Turn data into action – analysing performance and producing MI and insights that help leaders make better decisions

  • Partner with teams across Seccl to improve how we work – balancing structure and flexibility to design scalable, efficient processes

  • Bring clarity and coordination to busy workstreams – ensuring priorities are clear, communication is crisp, and progress is visible

This role’s for you if...

  • You’re a delivery-focused and project savvy – you take ownership, drive progress and see things through from idea to impact

  • You’re a strong operational thinker – able to map, understand and improve processes end-to-end, spotting inefficiencies and opportunities to automate or simplify

  • You’re analytical and comfortable with data – confident working with numbers to turn analysis into clear, actionable insight

  • You’re organised and structured – able to manage timelines, coordinate inputs and keep teams aligned and accountable

  • You’re a clear and confident communicator – skilled at simplifying complex ideas, preparing crisp materials and bringing people with you. Building consensus and influencing teams to reach shared, aligned outcomes is key to success

  • You’re a logical and curious problem solver – you like untangling problems, finding root causes and designing practical, lasting solutions

  • You thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment – adaptable, proactive and comfortable balancing structure with flexibility

  • You’re collaborative and dependable – someone people trust to bring clarity, follow through on commitments and make things better

Experience in start-ups, scale-ups, financial services and/or fintech is helpful but not essential - curiosity, drive and adaptability matter most.

This role isn’t for you if...
  • You rely on a lot of top-down direction. Here, you’ll have a lot of freedom and ownership of your role, and you’ll be expected to shape your own progression

  • You’re not comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. Our speed and scalability are what set us apart; you need to be able to act quickly and think on your feet

  • You struggle to follow through on ideas. We value people who do what they say they will. If you care about something, you have the freedom here to make it happen

  • You don’t like change. You’ll get on great here if you relish the ambiguity of rapid growth and are willing to embrace uncertainty

What’s in it for you…

We offer a generous mix of benefits for the things that really matter to our people, including:

💰 A salary between £75,000 and £90,000 dependant on experience + reviewed annually

Our interviews are conversational, so come with questions and be curious. In general, you can expect the interview process to look a bit like this, (following an initial chat with one of our Talent team):

  • First stage – 45 mins competencies-based interview with the hiring manager

  • Second stage – one-hour technical interview (case study) with the hiring manager and Operations delivery lead

  • Final stage – 45 mins bar-raiser culture-based interview

⏳ We’ll only close this role once we have enough applications for the next stage. Please submit your application as soon as possible to make sure you don’t miss out and you should expect to hear back from us within one to two weeks of applying.

🌈 Our aim is to build a diverse and inclusive company of awesome people, with unique skills, passions and experiences. All applicants will be considered for employment without attention to age, ethnicity, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, family or parental status, national origin, or veteran, neurodiversity or disability status.

If this sounds like your kind of thing, we encourage you to apply even if you don’t tick every box. We’d love to hear from you!

What We Do

Seccl is the Octopus-owned embedded investment platform that’s helping more people to invest – and invest well.

Our sector is being held back by old tech, dismal processes and misaligned interests. Together they create pointless complexity for financial planning and investment professionals, and provide outdated, overpriced experiences for customers.

We started afresh, with a low-cost, hyper-efficient and (genuinely) API-first technology infrastructure, which supports firms at the forefront of our changing industry.

Working around a principle of collaborative innovation, our technology and operations power the investment platforms of some of the UK’s most forward-thinking financial planning and wealth management firms, including P1 and Radiant.

They also help ambitious, fast-growth technology businesses – such as GoHenry, Penfold and Crowdcube – to launch and maintain their investment propositions more quickly and affordably than ever before.

A regulated custodian and ISA/SIPP provider, we have the disruptive mindset and ambitious mission to shake things up, along with the commitment and substance to not screw them up.

We’re proud to be part of Octopus, the £12.5 billion group that's on a mission to breathe new life into broken industries, through companies like Octopus Energy, Octopus Investments and Octopus Ventures.
