MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE:
1. Must have a valid driver’s license.
2. Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR certification within 30 days of hire.
3. Must possess current Licensure as required by state where services are being provided:
OH: Emergency Medical Technician through OH Emergency Medical Services
WV: Emergency Medical Technician through WV Office of Emergency Medical Services
4. Nationally registered as Emergency Medical Technician as required by state board:
WV: Emergency Medical Technician through National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (Unless state license is State License Only (SLO)
To be completed as established by department: (Administered at Department level)
1. Completion of Emergency Vehicle Operations Course.

1. Responsible for prompt and efficient response to calls.
2. Responsible for determining the extent and nature of injuries, and efficient care of the patient prior to transfer to health care facility.
3. Responsible for assisting in removal of victims from scene of accident.
4. Responsible for safe and efficient patient transport with continued care of the patient en-route to the hospital.
5. Responsible for assisting with vehicle maintenance, ambulance equipment and replenishes supplies.
