Full-Time | Four 10-hour shifts | No nights or weekends (rare exceptions as needed)
Pay: $19.00-$22.00/hour DOE
We are seeking a skilled and patient-focused Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) / Scope Tech to join our growing GI team in Colorado Springs, CO. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced clinical environment, enjoys hands-on patient care, and is passionate about supporting both patients and providers in an outpatient procedural setting.
About the Role
The EMT / Scope Tech supports providers and the clinical team by assisting with patient care, gathering medical information, performing clinical tasks, starting IVs, and supporting endoscopy procedures. This role requires strong clinical judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to remain calm under pressure while delivering safe, high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Obtain and document patient medical histories, vital signs, and other relevant information
- Prepare exam and procedure rooms to ensure efficiency and readiness
- Start IVs and administer medications as directed by the provider
- Collect and properly label laboratory specimens for testing
- Assist providers during examinations, procedures, and other patient care activities
- Support endoscopy procedures, including room turnover and scope cleaning/reprocessing in accordance with established protocols
- Support post-procedure care, including patient instructions and IV discontinuation
- Maintain cleanliness of instruments and properly dispose of contaminated materials
- Respond to emergency and non-emergency situations and provide Basic Life Support (BLS) as needed
- Assist in evaluating patient conditions and support life-saving interventions when necessary
- Follow all established clinical protocols, infection control standards, safety guidelines, and regulatory requirements

Qualifications- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Current Emergency Medical Technician Certification
- IV Certification required - or willing to obtain
- BLS certification required (within 30 days of starting)
- 2 years of experience as an EMT preferred
- GI or endoscopy experience preferred
- Strong clinical judgment, attention to detail, and communication skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment
- Knowledge of GCP, federal, state, and local regulations, including HIPAA policies and procedures.
