Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated EMR Implementation Specialist to support the integration, onboarding, and training of our EMR customers. This role focuses on delivering an exceptional customer experience throughout the implementation journey—from pre-launch planning to post-launch support and ongoing system improvement. This position will ensure that customers can order our products through their existing EMR workflows, driving business growth and brand loyalty.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Partner with customers to define integration requirements for a variety of EMR platforms such as AthenaHealth, eClinicalWorks, and Epic.
  • Create and manage detailed project plans, overseeing multiple customer integrations simultaneously.
  • Lead weekly status meetings with customer IT teams to drive progress on integration tasks.
  • Conduct comprehensive testing to ensure system functionality and data integrity prior to go-live.
  • Create user-friendly guides, resources, and training materials.
  • Facilitate live or virtual training sessions as needed to ensure all users are proficient.
  • Provide phone support to both customers and Sales for onboarding or issue resolution.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to design and implement system enhancements based on customer and Sales input.
  • Provide ongoing education on new features, updates, and best practices.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in EMR implementation.
  • Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills.
  • Prior experience providing phone-based customer support, troubleshooting, or training.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare workflows and operations.
  • Problem-solving mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and customer satisfaction.
  • Familiarity with healthcare regulations (e.g., HIPAA) and data security best practices.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a business-related discipline required.

Work Environment: 
Employee may be required to lift routine office supplies and use office equipment.  Majority of the work is performed in a desk/office environment; however, there may be exposure to high noise levels, fumes, and biohazard material in the laboratory environment.  Ability to sit for extended periods of time. 

Additional Information

Hybrid Work Model: At Guardant Health, we have defined days for in-person/onsite collaboration and work-from-home days for individual-focused time. All U.S. employees who live within 50 miles of a Guardant facility will be required to be onsite on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays. We have found aligning our scheduled in-office days allows our teams to do the best work and creates the focused thinking time our innovative work requires. At Guardant, our work model has created flexibility for better work-life balance while keeping teams connected to advance our science for our patients.

For positions based in Palo Alto, CA or Redwood City, CA, the base salary range for this full-time position is $147,100 to $202,300. The range does not include benefits, and if applicable, bonus, commission, or equity.

Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including, but not limited to, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. If you are selected to move forward, the recruiting team will provide details specific to the factors above.
