Description
GENERAL SUMMARY:
The Empowerment Hub Coordinator oversees the day-to-day coordination of the Empowerment Hub while supporting training programs for program participants. This position serves as the central coordinator for training schedules, instructors, classroom operations, learning systems, attendance tracking, program logistics, and reporting.
The Coordinator ensures that participant training programs and community-based educational offerings are organized, effective, and aligned with the mission of St. Matthew's House. This role works collaboratively with staff, instructors, volunteers, and community partners to create a welcoming and engaging learning environment that equips individuals for personal, professional, and spiritual growth.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Workforce Development/Vocational Training Coordination
- Coordinate and administer participant training programs, including enrollment, registration, scheduling, attendance tracking, communications, logistics, classroom support, and documentation.
- Manage training calendars, instructor assignments, room reservations, and learning events.
- Maintain training records, learning management system (LMS) activity, completion data, and reporting.
- Prepare, distribute, and maintain training materials, learning resources, and classroom supplies.
- Track participation, monitor training outcomes, and provide reports and recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with program leaders to support participant engagement, monitor progress, and promote successful program completion.
- Connect participants with educational, vocational, and community resources that support personal and professional growth.
- Provide backup facilitation for participant classes and training sessions as needed.
Empowerment Hub Operations
- Oversee the daily operations, scheduling, and calendar management of the Empowerment Hub.
- Coordinate classroom, meeting, and event space reservations for internal departments, training programs, and community partners.
- Ensure training spaces, technology, equipment, and supplies are organized, functional, and ready for use.
- Serve as the primary contact for Empowerment Hub inquiries, communications, and facility use coordination.
- Maintain a welcoming, professional environment; ensure shared spaces remain operational and prepared for use.
- Instructor, Volunteer, & Community Partner Support
- Coordinate and support instructors, volunteers, and community partners involved in Empowerment Hub and training initiatives.
- Manage instructor scheduling, communications, and coverage needs.
- Support volunteer recruitment, onboarding, scheduling, and engagement for training-related activities.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for Empowerment Hub instructors and training partners.
- Cultivate and maintain partnerships that expand learning opportunities and job placements for program participants.
- Ensure instructors, volunteers, and partners have resources and support to deliver quality learning experiences.
Communication & Collaboration
- Collaborate and communicate effectively with staff, participants, instructors, volunteers, and community partners to support learning initiatives and Empowerment Hub operations.
- Partner across departments to ensure training programs and Hub activities are well coordinated and successfully delivered.
- Support special events, workshops, graduation ceremonies, recognition events, and other mission-related activities.
- Mission & Culture Support
- Actively support and promote the mission, vision, and values of St. Matthew's House.
- Foster positive and collaborative relationships with staff, participants, volunteers, donors, and community partners.
- Participate in mission integration activities and organizational events.
- Consistently demonstrate biblical Christian values and professional excellence in all interactions.
- Support a culture of learning, growth, service, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Human Resources, Organizational Development, Human Services, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- Two or more years of experience in training, L&D, education, program coordination, or a related field.
- Experience facilitating training, coordinating learning programs or events, and working with volunteers, community partners, or diverse populations preferred.
- Experience with facility oversight
- Bilingual in English and Spanish or Haitian Creole preferred.

- Comfortable facilitating in-person and virtual learning experiences.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, virtual meeting platforms, and learning management systems.

- Self-motivated, adaptable, resourceful, and customer-service oriented.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality, exercise sound judgment, and work effectively in a faith-based environment.
REQUIREMENTS
- Available to work occasional evenings or weekends for classes, events, and special programs.
- Occasional travel between St. Matthew's House locations may be required.
- Valid Florida driver's license and current automobile insurance required.
- Must maintain primary auto insurance minimum liability limits of $100,000/$300,000 bodily injury, $100,000 property damage, or $300,000 combined single limit.
- Must be an approved St. Matthew's House driver.
SPECIFICATIONS:

Mental/Visual Demands: Flow of work requires normal mental and visual capabilities.
Physical Demands: Relatively little physical effort is required, however, must be able to move about the facility and possess the manual dexterity required to operate a computer and other business equipment. Working Areas: Office environment with occasional outdoor events.
