Status: Full-time, 30+ hours per weekSchedule: Monday - Friday 9:00 am - 4:00 pm with occasional weekendsLocation: Camp HillPay: $24.00 per hour


What We’re Looking For:

  • 6 months to 2 years of job coaching or related experience
  • Knowledge of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and/or autism
  • Valid driver’s license with at least 6 months of driving experience
  • Access to a vehicle with valid insurance, registration, and inspection
  • 18 years of age
  • Ability to communicate, read, write, and understand English
  • Ability to work independently with strong time management skills
  • Preferred: ACRE or CESP certification, or willingness to obtain within 6 months of hire

As an Employment Specialist, you’ll support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in finding and keeping meaningful employment in their community. You’ll provide coaching, encouragement, and hands-on support that helps people build confidence, develop skills, and succeed in the workplace.

 

What You’ll Do:

  • Support individuals in finding and maintaining competitive, community-based employment
  • Assist with job applications, interview preparation, and job readiness skills
  • Provide on-site job coaching, training, and ongoing support at worksites
  • Build relationships with employers to support successful job placements
  • Communicate with individuals, families, and employers to help maintain stability and success on the job
  • Encourage independence, confidence, and strong decision-making skills
  • Develop and follow individualized employment plans based on each person’s strengths, goals, and interests
  • Observe progress and provide guidance, feedback, and support as needed
