Who you are:

As an Employee Relations Specialist, you are our employee’s first line of support, counseling and guiding employees as needed. You will also be responsible for partnering with managers to recruit and hire qualified applicants for non-exempt positions. Most importantly, this role is about building trust through every interaction and doing it with integrity, caring and excellence in mind. 

What you’ll do:

  • Recruit, interview, and hire qualified job applicants for non-exempt level open positions; collaborate with managers to understand skills and competencies required for open positions

  • Handle employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff

  • Conduct Exit Interviews

  • Enter, maintain, and process information in the payroll system; information may include employee’s hourly rates, salaries, commissions, bonuses or other compensation, time worked, paid leave and holidays, deductions and withholding, address changes, and other information

  • Counsel and guide employees as needed to assist and mediate work related situations

  • Present New Hire Induction and Orientation to acclimate new employees to Frost and to strengthen company culture throughout the organization

  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices

  • Administer the FMLA process and ADA requests

  • Other assigned duties

  • Always take action using Integrity, Caring, and Excellence to achieve all-win outcomes

What you’ll need:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience

  • Strong Interviewing and organizational skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft computer applications

Additional Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with counseling managers and employees
