**Experience supporting Employee Relations case management strategy and programs a plus**
As a part of the Employee Relations Team, the Employee Relations Coordinator will be responsible for ensuring prompt engagement and support with the investigation of team member concerns. The Employee Relations Coordinator will be an integrated partner with VCUHS stakeholders to provide end-to-end case management support by proactively engaging on various employment issues, identifying trends in employee relations activity, and collaborating on solutions within the organization. This role is ideal for professionals with experience in Human Resources, Ethics and Compliance, Legal or other related disciplines, with experience working for a large academic health system.
Essential Job Statements

Triage cases for all incoming employment concerns and provide timely referral to the most appropriate responsible Employee Relations and/or investigative partner.

Provide support with various employment case metrics, trends, and data analysis to Employee Relations leadership.

Assist in the review and resolution of low to mid-risk employment matters, including but not limited to corrective actions, attendance policy violations, Privacy policy violations, and employment separations.

Support the research and implementation of creative issue resolutions outside of the formal investigation and concern resolution processes.

Provide support with the interpretation on human resources (HR) policies and procedures.

Partner with HR COEs and organizational stakeholders to develop and deliver Employee Relations training to address potential and/or identified issue trends.

Supports Employee Relations process improvement initiatives and programs aimed at improving employee satisfaction.

Assists with conducting research on Employment best practices, policies, regulations, rules, and laws.

Provide support to Employee Relations projects, duties and initiatives as assigned.

Employment Qualifications
Required Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business or related field or equivalent professional experience
*Combination of education and experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree.
Preferred Education:
Advanced level degree preferred
Licensure/Certification Required:
Licensure/Certification Preferred:
Certification in HR (e.g., SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR).
Minimum Qualifications
Years and Type of Required Experience
3 years of related Human Resources, case management, and/or training experience.
Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with individuals at various levels in the organization.
Experience prioritizing multiple projects in a deadline-oriented environment.
Experience ensuring confidentiality is maintained; enabling team members to comfortably report concerns without fear of retaliation.
Strong presentation, facilitation, and communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and experience with HRIS.

Experience conducting employee relations investigations and/or managing various case activities, including partnering & engaging with team members, stakeholders, leaders, cross functional partners, and documenting case.
Experience using a formal case management platform.
Academic Healthcare experience preferred
