About the Role: The Employee Relations Associate plays a pivotal role in enhancing the employee experience within Disney Experiences by engaging with employees and leaders during critical moments in the employment lifecycle. Responsibilities:
- Engage with employees to gather all relevant information regarding reported workplace concerns.
- Manage the intake, documentation, and tracking of employment-related claims, complaints, inquiries, and legal notices to discern if matters require engagement from Employee Relations, business leaders or other key partners to ensure timely response and resolution.
- Coordinate the collection of relevant documentation, records, and supporting information from internal stakeholders.
- Assist in managing end-to-end investigation processes and related case administration.
- Maintain accurate case files, reporting logs, and status updates for employment-related complaints, ensuring alignment with internal processes, deadlines, and recordkeeping requirements.
- Maintain detailed and accurate accounts of inquiries with timely memorialization of the notes and supporting documents into Employee Relations’ case management system.
- Promote knowledge, understanding, and compliance about company policies through coaching, presentations, and facilitating training sessions.
- Collaborate with Labor Relations, People & Culture Business Partners, Security, and other teams as needed.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, human resources, psychology, sociology, industrial labor relations, and/or equivalent work experience.
- Proficiency in conducting workplace investigations.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience.
- Demonstrated experience in conflict resolution and consulting.
- Ability to manage competing, high priority demands, prioritizing workload, managing projects and multiple responsibilities against strict deadlines.
- Ability to analyze data, trends, and insights to identify the root cause of the event.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, and ability to influence.
- Ability to handle highly sensitive and confidential situations with objectivity.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior Employee Relations experience.
- Bilingual Spanish speaking/writing strongly preferred.
- Experience with Collective Bargaining Agreements or knowledge of labor law.
- Knowledge of employee relations and federal and state laws (e.g., Title VII, ADA, ADAAA, FMLA).
Please note this is a 6-month project hire based in Florida.
The hiring range for this position in Lake Buena Vista, FL is $83,000.00 to $101,400.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.Job Posting Segment:
