You are a specialist in a process, workstream or area in Mondelēz International Business Services, working to support impeccable service operations.
How you will contribute
You will use your in-depth process and service knowledge in your area of expertise to ensure that service level agreements and obligations are met. As a co-owner of the development of standard operating procedures, you will drive standardization and simplification of processes. In addition, you will provide input for training materials, ensure that standard operating procedures and data protection activities comply with Mondelēz International policies and the law, analyze and report on exceptions and offer recommendations for process improvements, and lead the sustainable continuous improvement process for the team.
We are looking for an Employee Relations Advisor to join our team and act as a strategic consultant on labor relations and compliance matters. This role requires an analytical, organized professional with strong communication skills, as they will be responsible for conducting investigations, supporting performance management, and ensuring the correct application of company policies.

Key Responsabilities
- Conducts Employee Relations intakes with managers within SLA of 24-48 hours, documents intake details in case management tool, determines key stakeholders to engage, pulls employee profile, previous performance history, signed policies, and initiates investigation strategy document.
- Validates case type and evaluates complexity and priority per defined matrixes. Records case in ER Case management tool and aligns with manager on next steps.
- Reports up cases through Business Integrity / Ethics Point when appropriate.
- Conducts Employee Relations investigations, assesses situations, and determines appropriate actions in line with company policies and practices: a. Investigates into employee misconduct and complaints. Documents investigation findings, interviews, and document analysis. Writes disciplinary action documents. Consistently administers disciplinary actions using a progressive discipline approach; b. Provides coaching and guidance to People Managers and key stakeholders as it relates to performance issues. Drafts warning letters and support People Managers on creation of Performance Improvement Plans as needed; c. Assists managers with attendance, absenteeism, and job abandonment issues. Administers disciplinary actions in line with company policies and practices. Drafts warning letters or termination documents as needed; d. Assists local People Team (HR) or labor counsel in documentation requests for legal / tribunal investigations. Provides documentation as needed.
- Partners with People Team (People Experience / People Leads) and legal throughout the Employee Relations process. Actively informs, engages, and influences stakeholders. Identifies opportunities for improvement or feedback.
- Ensures processes are followed consistently and fair and equitable treatment is applied. Practices ER Principles (Fair, Corrective, Timely, Consistent, Progressive, Safety, Due Process) throughout management of all cases and helps stakeholders understand their importance.
- Actively monitors own KPI's and participates in team Daily Management System meetings. Owns action plans and problem solving, including Kaizen ideas and other MDS Service Center projects and initiatives that support the prevention and elimination of losses in our processes. Lives and embraces our Lean culture.
- Participates in MDS engagement initiatives and other Continuous Improvement initiatives.
Mandatory requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in Shared Services Centers (SSC)
- 1 to 2 years of experience in Human Resources, preferably as a Generalist (BP, Employee Relations).
- Degree in Human Resources, Psychology, or Labor Law.
- Experience handling disciplinary cases, job abandonment, and compliance.
- Advanced English (able to conduct business conversations)
- Excellent communication and consultative skills.
- Strong customer service orientation.
- High level of ethics and discretion, handling confidential information.
- Organizational skills and attention to detail, ensuring compliance with policies.
- Ability to manage multiple demands, prioritizing tasks strategically.
