Role Summary

Employee Experience & Inclusion plays a critical role in delivering high‑impact HR initiatives that strengthen employee engagement, belonging, and organizational effectiveness across the enterprise. This role supports the design, execution, and measurement of inclusion strategies and programs that align with enterprise priorities and values.

Reporting to the Director of Employee Experience, this role partners across HR Centers of Excellence to align, coordinate, and advance enterprise‑wide initiatives, supporting executive‑level priorities and organizational outcomes.Key ResponsibilitiesHR Project & Initiative Management
  • Leads cross‑functional HR programs and initiatives from concept through execution, ensuring alignment with enterprise strategy and stakeholder expectations

  • Ensures HR initiatives are executed effectively, measured for impact, and continually improved

  • Oversees project planning, resource alignment, risk management, and progress tracking to ensure successful delivery of enterprise HR initiatives.

  • Ensure project work and deliverables align with compliance, governance, internal controls, enterprise priorities, HR strategy, and regulatory requirements

  • Foster a process improvement mindset across initiatives

  • Partners with project teams, business leaders, and technology partners to develop business cases and materials for executive leadership

  • Guides development and execution of the Strategic HR Roadmap and other strategic initiatives with senior cross‑functional leaders

  • Owns the delivery of defined employee experience initiatives that reinforce enterprise culture, engagement, and inclusion

 

  • Collaborates with HR COEs, Corporate Communications, Ethics & Compliance, Legal, Internal Audit, and Risk to coordinate deliverables

  • Advances enterprise-wide listening strategies to create a consistent, data-informed approach for understanding employee sentiment, identifying experience gaps, and informing actions that strengthen culture, engagement, and inclusion.
  • Translate employee feedback into actionable recommendations and improvements, with attention to equity, inclusion, and varied employee experiences

  • Reviews and interprets HR and employee experience data to generate insights, including trends related to engagement, inclusion, and belonging supporting decision‑making and continuous improvement

  • Supports post‑initiative measurement and impact reporting

  • Create, refine, and deliver advanced, influential presentations that effectively communicate insights, recommendations, and strategic implications to senior leaders and executives

  • Prepares project status updates and outcome reporting for HR leadership

  • Ensures consistency, clarity, and accuracy of messaging for senior leadership audiences

  • Assist with HR Leadership and All‑Hands planning, agenda development, and materials

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or advanced degree in HR, business or related field preferred. Equivalent work experience will be considered.

  • 3–5 years of experience in project management; experience in HR & employee experience preferred

  • Experience facilitating executive level discussions, developing senior level presentations and delivering strategic initiatives.

  • Experience in Leadership, change management, consensus building skills preferred

  • Exposure to project management disciplines (formal PM certification a plus but not required)

  • Experience supporting senior leaders or executive‑level deliverables preferred

  • Ability to lead efforts supporting FirstEnergy’s core values and behaviors along with demonstrated experience, mindset, and strong disposition toward transparency, unassailable integrity, and trustworthiness.
