Position Summary: 

The Employee Benefits Account Coordinator is accountable for delivering high quality and efficient service to both internal and external clients by assisting with the Agency’s overall workflow processes and providing routine client support.

Here's what you’ll do:

  • Support Account Managers in day-to-day tasks and support other Account Coordinators across the team.
  • Process benefit enrollments, terminations, and qualifying events across multiple vendor systems within expected turnaround times and maintain 97% accuracy.
  • Review and audit benefit invoices ensuring accuracy across carrier systems and internal databases.
  • Decipher discrepancies between invoices and internal data and communicate actions needed for corrections.
  • Produce and distribute timely compliance documents post-renewal, including assisting in the generation of benefit notices, SMM’s, SPD’s
  • Entry and maintenance of all client data in the agency management system, including contacts, policy information, enrollment management, and reporting.
  • Review and audit information in the agency management system.
  • Assist in the creation of renewal documents, including benefit guides, benefit summaries, and open enrollment presentations.
  • Assist in quoting and marketing of benefit plans.
  • Assist with enrollment and/or claims inquiries. 
  • Assists in updating, reporting from and uploading documents in the online enrollment system. 
  • Any other duties and tasks that are required by the Company.

Requirements

Here’s what you’ll need:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Life & Health License required (licensing information available by request)
  • Ability to work onsite in a full-time or hybrid capacity (management discretion).
  • Excellent interpersonal skills. Warm, approachable, savvy, and empathetic. 
  • Extremely strong oral and written communication skills, including the ability to translate “technical speak” in a way that end users at all levels can understand.
  • High energy work ethic with ability to work independently while maintaining excellent customer relationships. 
  • Ability to work collaboratively with others. 
  • Ability to work without direct supervision.
  • Health/Life licensing is required within the first 6 months of employment
