Department OverviewThe Product Procurement Team works with the Business, Engineering, Supply Chain and other critical functional teams to create and execute the product outsourcing strategy. The team source and manages a pool of qualified suppliers to support and enable our business' outsourcing needs.
Job Description

We are looking for a Category Manager, with at least 2-3 years related experience in managing EMS suppliers. The responsibilities of the Emerging EMS Category Manager includes but not limited to :

  • Execution of the Category Strategy
  • Overall EMS suppliers management, including suppliers relationships ownership
  • RFQ exercise, cost negotiations and project awards
  • Contract negotiations
  • Escalation point for internal operation teams
  • On-going drive for cost improvement and annual cost reduction
  • Hosting Quarterly Business Review (QBR)

Basic Requirements

In order to be successful, the candidate has to have: 

  • Must have at least a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or Supply Chain or any related field
  • Minimum 3 years prior related experience and proven track records in managing EMS suppliers.
  • Effective problem solving skills, strong negotiation skills and excellent communication skills with proven ability to work with people from various levels and functions.
  • Strong data analysis skills and good understanding in forecasting methods.
  • High proficiency in MS Office / Google Documents; specifically, advance MS Excel / Google Sheets skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Prior project management experience will be an added advantage
  • Energetic, Positive, and a Team Player personality.
  • Willing to work in Bayan Lepas, Penang.
