Summary
The Emergency Response Specialist is responsible for assisting in the development, implementation, and exercise of Allegiant Air's Emergency Response program. This position reports to the Manager of Emergency Response.

Combination of Education and Experience will be considered. Must be authorized to work in the US as defined by the Immigration Act of 1986. Must pass a Criminal Background Check.

Years of Experience:
Minimum two (2) years of experience in emergency response planning,
•Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
•Demonstrated analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
•Strong attention to detail.
•Self-motivated and able to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with minimal supervision in support of the Safety & Security Department and Director of Safety.
Preferred Requirements
•Technical writing experience.
•Experience coordinating cross-company projects and facilitating training.
•Airline/transportation industry experience.
Job Duties
•Revise plans and contact lists for emergency personnel, including, but not limited to, emergency checklists for emergency support teams, Care Support Team and Go Teams.
•Assist in revision of the Emergency Procedures Manual (EPM) and related checklists.
•Appropriately prioritize frequently changing requirements, tasks, and responsibilities.
•Work with safety-sensitive and sometimes confidential information, determine which items need to be handled by whom, with what level of urgency. Display good judgment and discretion.
•Participate in design and maintenance of corporate Emergency Command Center and the Go Team, including layout, equipment, and procedures.
•Assist in developing training curriculum, and provide training as necessary.
•Develop exercise plans and after action reports for Company drills.
•Serve as a Crisis Management Care Support Team Representative on the Go Team during accident response.
•Ensure that emergency systems, facilities and responses are tested on a monthly basis and document for records.
•Promote increased company-wide awareness of Emergency Preparedness goals and requirements.
•Maintain relationships with government agencies, contractors, vendors, and non-governmental organizations involved in family assistance.
•Participate in Company and airport exercises and drills.
•Work with other Safety, Compliance or Security team Specialists on position-related tasks as necessary.
•Model Allegiant’s customer service standards in personal actions and when providing direction.
•Other duties as assigned.

Office - While performing the duties of this job, the Team Member is regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear, see, reach, stoop, kneel, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer, key board, printer, and phone. May be required to lift, push, pull, or carry up to 20 lbs. May be required to work various shifts/days in a 24-hour situation. Regular attendance is a requirement of the role. Exposure to moderate noise (i.e. business office with computers, phones, printers, and foot traffic), temperature and light fluctuations. Ability to work in a confined area as well as the ability to sit at a computer terminal for an extended period of time. Some travel may be a requirement of the role.
