Role Purpose

The EMEA Logistics Lead is responsible for managing the performance of the Masquefa Central Distribution Center (CDC) and driving logistics excellence across the EMEA distribution network through effective 3PL governance and cross-functional coordination.

The role serves as the primary interface between the business and the logistics service provider, ensuring the CDC consistently delivers high service levels, inventory accuracy, productivity, operational scalability, and cost efficiency. The position does not manage warehouse operations directly, but is fully accountable for monitoring performance, identifying opportunities, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and holding the 3PL accountable for agreed outcomes.

 

Key Responsibilities

Masquefa CDC Governance & Performance Management

  • Act as the business owner of the Masquefa CDC performance.
  • Monitor and evaluate warehouse operational performance through defined KPIs and SLAs.
  • Ensure the 3PL consistently delivers agreed service, quality, inventory, productivity, and safety targets.
  • Challenge performance gaps and drive corrective action plans with the logistics provider.
  • Lead weekly operational reviews and monthly performance reviews with the 3PL management team.
  • Conduct Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) focused on performance, improvement initiatives, risks, and future capacity needs.
  • Serve as the primary escalation point between the business and the CDC operator.

3PL Relationship Management

  • Build a strong and constructive partnership with the 3PL while maintaining high accountability.
  • Develop performance scorecards and improvement roadmaps.
  • Drive continuous productivity, inventory accuracy, and service level improvements.
  • Support contract governance and ensure compliance with agreed service levels.
  • Benchmark 3PL performance against industry best practices and identify optimization opportunities.
  • Ensure resources, processes, and capabilities are aligned with business growth requirements.

Continuous Improvement & Logistics Excellence

  • Identify and lead improvement initiatives within the CDC operation.
  • Drive projects related to:
    • Productivity improvement
    • Inventory accuracy enhancement
    • Backorder reduction
    • Warehouse capacity optimization
    • Order cycle time reduction
    • WMS process improvements
    • Automation and digitalization opportunities
  • Ensure lessons learned and best practices are implemented across logistics operations.

Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Partner with Planning, Customer Service, Procurement, Finance, Sales Operations, and Operations teams.
  • Align inventory strategies and customer service priorities with warehouse execution.
  • Coordinate readiness for seasonal peaks, promotions, and new product introductions.
  • Ensure operational risks and constraints are proactively communicated and mitigated.

Transportation & Customer Delivery Performance

  • Monitor outbound logistics and customer delivery performance.
  • Collaborate with transportation providers and the CDC operator to improve OTD and DIFOT performance.
  • Escalate and resolve issues impacting customer deliveries.
  • Support initiatives to improve logistics efficiency while maintaining customer satisfaction.
