Join the Canon Logistics team located either in Maasvlakte, Rotterdam (warehouse location) or Amstelveen (HQ) as Logistics Specialist- Outbound where you will make sure that logistics processes and policies in the EMEA region are correctly followed up and focus on driving continues improvement towards an effective, efficient and integrated logistics operation, working with both internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

As an EMEA Logistics Specialist you will be responsible for:

  • Create and monitor transport plans to meet business requirements and agreements.
  • Ensure goods are delivered on time to satellite warehouses and customers, maintaining the right quality and quantity.
  • Manage logistics costs and service levels within pre-defined business targets.
  • Continuously seek opportunities for reducing cost and maximizing revenue on Canon corporate level and increasing customer satisfaction.
  • Develop and implement action plans to address and resolve logistics issues, preventing recurrence.
  • Closely monitor issues (damages/theft) with carriers and install clear counteractions to increase customer satisfaction and reduce costs/impact.
  • Be responsible for monitoring agreed service levels and propose corrective actions where required.

 

In this role you will be required to visit our warehouse in Maasvlakte, Rotterdam at frequent base to see & check our operations onsite.

Qualifications

For this role, you will have:

  • Minimum Bachelor level (Dutch HBO) or equivalent in a relevant field (preferably logistics, planning, procurement, APICS).
  • At least 3 years of work experience in Supply Chain, Logistics, and/or Inventory management. 
  • Assertive team player with problem solving positive and collaborative mind set.
  • Independent, multi-tasking-oriented individual and adaptable to changing priorities 
  • Excellent numerical and analytical skills and proficient knowledge of MS Office.
  • Experience with Oracle and Transport Management Systems and /Warehouse Management Systems is a plus.
  • Fluent Business English (both written and spoken). 
  • EU citizen or valid working permit to work in the Netherlands.
