The Data Analyst is responsible for supporting commercial reporting, analytics, and business decision-making across multiple functions and stakeholders. The role focuses on developing Power BI dashboards, delivering actionable insights, supporting process automation, and helping document KPI definitions, maintain data dictionaries and governance documentation.
As part of the Commercial Analytics organization, this role helps drive a data-driven culture by providing meaningful analysis, improving reporting capabilities, and supporting business teams with reliable and accessible data solutions & definitions.
This is a temporary role for 12-15 months maternity cover until Dec 2027
Key Activities & Accountabilities:
- Gather, document, and validate business requirements, KPI definitions, and reporting needs.
- Develop, maintain, and improve Power BI dashboards and reports to support business decision-making.
- Identify opportunities to automate recurring reporting activities and business processes using Power BI, Power Automate, Excel, and related tools.
- Support the development of standardized KPI reporting across products, geographies, customers, and business functions.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, IT teams, and commercial analytics colleagues to deliver reporting and data solutions.
- Investigate reporting discrepancies and contribute to data quality improvement initiatives.
- Maintain reporting documentation, KPI definitions, and business glossaries to ensure consistency across reports.
- Participate in regional and global analytics projects (Clarity/EDL) by supporting business requirements, reporting validation, data definitions, and process improvements.
- Support user adoption by providing documentation, training materials, and guidance on reporting solutions
Requirements:
- Experience in a multicultural environment
- Fluent English - A key part of this role will be to work with international stakeholders across the world.
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Business Analytics, Data Science, Computer Information Systems, or similar technical degree preferred
Preferred
- Knowledge of an additional EU language is a plus.
- Master's or higher degree in a related discipline preferred
Competencies:
- Effective communication skills, able to present complex data sets to senior sales management, influencing without authority
- Skilled in data transformation and cleansing and relational database and data modelling concepts
- Skilled in data governance concepts including the need for documented definitions, calculations, sources, lineage, etc.
- Experience leading end-to-end data analytics projects: from problem and requirements definition to code/model validation and deployment
- Data governance concepts including the need for documented definitions, calculations, sources, lineage, etc.
- Experienced with Azure, Power BI, Microsoft Fabric
- Experienced in at least two programming language central to data analytics (SQL, Python, DAX)
- Nice to have: Power Apps knowledge, Microsoft certifications
Netherlands Pay Ranges:
- Netherlands: €44.100 - €81.900 EUR Annual
