Mission and activities:
A new position for an EMC Testing Engineer is open. The jobholder will be part of the EMC team with the mission to provide EMC testing services to all the platforms of Airbus Defence and Space which will allow the certification and qualification of our products from Electromagnetic point of view.
Active participation in the Ground Testing activities
Discussion and definition of testing requirements in close colaboration with other Engineering areas (System Specialists, Design Office...).
Preparation of the Test Procedure
Coordination of the Ground Test supporting means
Reporting on the Ground Test Results including interpretation of the effects observed during test
Use of specific RF instrumentation when needed.
Quality Gates to ensure EMC Testing facilities are ready for any potential EMC Testing campaign.
Define and anticipate testing needs for future programme or activites
Prepare and pass the Quality, H&S audits
Required Competences and Skills:
Telecommunication or Industrial Engineer (or equivalent academic background)
Knowledge on Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) fundamentals
Knowledge on aircraft systems (AVS, COMMS, Mission...)
Familiar with Airbus Defence and Space platforms
Experience in RF measurements
Proven experience in laboratory tests, processes and instrumentation
Availability to travel (up to 50% of time) and schedule flexibility
Demonstrated experience working in International Environments
Ability to work autonomously as well as being active part of a team
Ability to overcome difficulties in the development of the projects
Proactive and self-motivated
