The EMC ESD (ElectroMagnetic Compatibility & ElectroStatic Discharge /) team designs, integrates and characterizes solutions to guarantee the performance of integrated circuits submitted to ElectroStatic and ElectroMagnetic aggressions.

The EMC ESD team develops solutions (device, architecture, design, models, application) to optimize the electromagnetic and transient behaviors of integrated circuits for different products lines. Both EMC and ESD characterizations of ICs and embedded systems (battery management, power management, sensor, transceivers, electrification. …) are performed on site, in state-of-the-art laboratories. With more than 100 patents granted the team focus on innovation with international collaborations.

In this context, you will join the EMC ESD team as EMC & ESD analog design engineer to support the CEMASURF project funded by France 2030, i-demo 2023 project call.. The CEMASURF is a collaborative project with external partners to predict the influence of electromagnetic and transient disturbance on the functional safety of embedded system. It is dedicated to sustainable mobility and electrification applications such as automotive, with possible extensions to Space and Aerospace domains.

Your Responsibilities

Within CEMASURF project scope

• Technical lead for EMC ESD in collaboration with the safety teams and external partners
• Analyze the correlation between EMC ESD and Safety for electrification defined systems
• Study the Impact of different EMC ESD stress on the functional safety with different mission profiles
• Define and understand with the laboratory teams and partners new test methods and failure criteria at both IC and system levels
• Participate to the development of methods for the ICs optimization and validation
• Apply the methodologies on several applications cases for the vehicles electrification
• Work closely with project teams (analog architect, analog designers, application and validation engineers) to implement new solutions at both IC and system levels
• Collaborate across organizational and geographical boundaries
• Leverage expertise with different PLs and also with other technical groups within NXP

Your Profile

• Experience in analog IC development (>10years)
• Expertise in analog design or mixed signal IC, including design for EMC and /or ESD robustness.
• Knowledge and experience in functional safety for semiconductors
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
• Experience with cross functional teams and good communication skills to operate in a global environment with multiple partners in Europe and Asia
• Fluent in English language both oral and written.
• Knowledge of the Cadence IC tools,
