L.L.Bean is currently searching for an Embroidery Digitizer, to join the Bean for Business Team located in Freeport, Maine.
Position Purpose:
In this role as Embroidery Digitizer, you will be responsible for utilizing computer software to transform customer submitted designs into stitch patterns ensuring the designs are optimized for various fabrics and can be efficiently embroidered while also meeting L.L. Bean quality standards. This role requires a detailed understanding of various embroidery techniques, strong attention to detail, creativity, knowledge of embroidery digitizing software and the functionality of embroidery machines. Self-motivation and the ability to work autonomously to meet deadlines will be critical.
Responsibilities:

Consult with Graphic Artists to understand the desired outcome for customer's design

Using Wilcom Embroidery Studio produce the most efficient way to stitch the customer's design
-
Provide machine operators with finalized digitized designs, including specific instructions on thread colors, stitch types, and sequence of sewing

Make necessary adjustments and corrections to the digitized design based on the results of the test sew out

Collaborate with the production team to ensure the feasibility of designs on various fabrics
-
Respond to any issues or problems with the digitizing process promptly and professionally
-
Work with Q&T Coordinator to document all phases of the digitizing process for future reference, consistency in process and quality assurance

Stay updated on product assortment, fabric types and equipment to improve work quality and efficiency

Participates in continuous learning opportunities offered by L.L. Bean.

Education Level: 2-Year Associates-Degree, relative training or certification a plus
Years of Experience: 2-3 years
Skills and Qualifications:

Proficiency, and thorough knowledge of Microsoft 365 (Excel, Word, SharePoint, Teams) Knowledge of Wilcom Embroidery Studio

Requires knowledge of and ability to operate embroidery machines.

Proven work experience as an Embroidery Digitizer

Highly creative with a good eye for detail

Ability to interpret and implement design

Knowledge of fabric types and appropriate digitizing techniques
