We are currently seeking a Sr. Embedded Development Engineer. This position requires an experienced professional at board-bring up, developing/maintaining firmware and hardware design knowledge as well as understanding the HW engineering and manufacturing test requirements for a board. Our ideal candidate exhibits a can-do attitude and approaches his or her work with vigor and determination.
The Role:
- 5+ years of experience in firmware development (C/C++) and test software development on ARM based microprocessors and microcontrollers.
- Participate in defining and developing an overall HW Test SW Framework for engineering, regulatory and manufacturing test.
- Knowledge of communication protocols and technologies such as SPI, UART, I2C, Ethernet, USB, A2B, CAN/CAN-FD, LIN, MIPI CSI-2, LVDS and GMSL.
- Experience using compilers and GNU toolchains targeting ARM based processors.
- Experience in developing test frameworks and APIs on Linux, including hardware test software.
- Linux BSP maintenance, firmware/driver development and integration.
- Experience in Linux board bring up and testing experience.
- Hardware design, schematics, component datasheets, and be able to distinguish between software and hardware related issues.
- Designing/implementing automated test scripts for executing DVT and Compliance test cases and generating summary reports.
- Provide guidance to HW and SW Engineering on Design For Testability requirements.
Advantageous:
- Experience using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, power supplies and protocol analyzers a plus.
- Knowledge of NI Labview & Teststand is a plus.
- Knowledge of manufacturing test is a plus.
Education Requirement:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field
Salary Range: The compensation range for this position is specific to the locations listed below and is the range Lucid reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position taking into account the wide variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including job-related knowledge; skillset; experience, education and training; certifications; and other relevant business and organizational factors.
Additional Compensation and Benefits: Lucid offers a wide range of competitive benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability insurance, vacation, and 401k. The successful candidate may also be eligible to participate in Lucid’s equity program and/or a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing such programs. (Cash or equity incentive awards, if any, will depend on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and company performance.)

$163,700—$240,020 USD
