Embedded Software Engineer

• Own the Customer Interface level System DVPR, Create Battery Management System-level validation test plans and test specifications.
• Lead the effort to implement and execute automated algorithm performance tests.
• Design, document, and manage test plans based on variants and software release level. Responsible for deploying and maintaining this system.
• Perform test cases on Hardware-In-Loop tester, automate new and existing test specifications using industry standard tools and processes.
• Develop Polarion infrastructure for linking validation test cases to requirements.
• Create test reports and other documentation to support traceability and demonstrate validation which are robust to assessment under ISO 9001, ISO 26262, and ASPICE standards.
• Continuous review and improvement of Freudenberg Battery Power Systems' (FBPS) processes, procedures, and templates.
• Support the FBPST Problem Management Process by participating in investigations, 8Ds work packages, and auditing SW changes required to rectify field issues in a timely manner.

• Minimum 5 years' experience working with each of the following tools:
  • Proficient with dSPACE HIL systems, including ConfigurationDesk, ControlDesk, and AutomationDesk, Vector CAN tools and CAPL scripting.
  • Experienced in developing HIL plant models using MATLAB, Simulink, and Stateflow. Adept at configuring HIL systems.
• Demonstrate ability to understand complex electronic and mechanical systems.
• Experience working with Polarion for requirement and test case management.
• Experience with statistical analysis of data to establish pass/fail criteria.
• Experience and knowledge on testing techniques, test-bench Debugging and ECU CAN Log analysis skills.
• Experience working in software/system development processes and methodologies in regulated industry areas (E.g. Waterfall, Scrum, Agile, etc.)
• Exposure (certification preferred) to ISO26262 and ASPICE.
• Good to have know-how about BMS domain and Past High Voltage exposure or High Voltage training.
