Your mission as Embedded Software Engineer (m/f/d):
As Embedded Software Engineer for application software you develop the brain around our processing chain: the control and application layer that turns individual hardware and processing components into one coherent sensor demonstrator. You design clean interfaces, implement mode, resource and configuration management, and make sure the system is operable, observable and testable – from scheduling and health monitoring to data recording and the operator-facing API
We are looking forward to:
Completed technical studies, e.g. in computer science or electronical engineering
Strong modern C++ on Linux, including multithreading, inter-process communication and network programming
Solid software architecture and design skills (component design, clean interfaces, design patterns)
Experience with automated testing and CI/CD toolchains (e.g. GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins)
Good Python scripting skills
Containerization (Docker) and deployment automation advantageous
Experience with soft-real-time or embedded systems advantageous
Domain experience in sensor systems, automation or comparable data-intensive products advantageous
Radar knowledge advantageous
Strong team and communication skills in a small, interdisciplinary prototyping team
Analytical and structured way of thinking and working
Self-directed, proactive working style with a high level of ownership
Precision and quality awareness, especially in verification and interface definition
Pragmatic, hands-on prototyping mindset – willingness to iterate fast and learn from hardware
Willingness to travel for integration and measurement campaigns (~15%)
Very good German and English skills
