​​​​​​​The Embedded Software Engineer for IoT Systems is established in the team of Embedded Systems at R&D. The focus of work is situated at the middle of an IOT infrastructure. The Embedded Software Engineer is responsible for the software layer mainly used at gateways and border routers. Main tasks are architecture, implementation and verification of communication between cloud and end devices, optimization, research into causes and support of DevOps cycle. He contributes to the team with their extensive technical expertise in embedded software development under respect of security, resources and multiple integration scenarios.

• Responsible for overall architecture of IOT gateways
• Design and implementation of infrastructure services on embedded devices
• Software development with focus on security, resources and maintainability
• Design and implementation of security concepts
• Research into causes between Cloud and IOT devices
• Support on DevOps cycle
• Support of automatic testing
• Ensuring already prepared conditions for testing and verifying products

Qualifikationen

Experience: 

• At least 6 years as Embedded Software Developer with focus on higher application development. 

Skills:

- Coding languages:

• C/C++, Python, Scripting 
• Software: GCC, GDB, Clang, libc 
• Web technology: JSON, BSON, TLS 
• IOT technology: Bluetooth low energy 
  
• English – Fluent, German – Conversant 
• Analytical frame of mind 
• Independent work, quick comprehension and fast hands-on skills 
• Ability to abstract for the modelling of solution concepts 
• Willingness for further training on new technologies, legal aspects 

Education:

• University of Applied Sciences or higher technical college (with experience) for telematics, information and computer technology or equivalent training

Additional Informations

A minimum basic salary of EUR 3.724 gross per month for full-time employment applies to the advertised position with a willingness to pay depending on the actual qualifications.
