As an Embedded Software Engineer I, here at Honeywell Aerospace Flight Management System (FMS) team, you will work in a fast paced, collaborative development environment alongside experienced software and systems engineers. You will report directly to our Sr Software Engr Manager out of our Phoenix, AZ location on a Hybrid work schedule.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Design, develop, and maintain core Flight Management software supporting next‑generation avionics systems.
  • Implement high-quality software solutions that meet performance, security, and reliability requirements.
  • Participate in requirements and code reviews, contributing ideas that improve software quality and development practices.
  • Collaborate with systems, hardware, test, and certification teams to deliver integrated software solutions.
  • Support software integration, testing, and debugging in laboratory environments
  • Troubleshoot and resolve software defects across the development and integration lifecycle
  • Continually grow your technical skills while applying industry standards and aerospace best practices.

Qualifications

YOU MUST HAVE

  • Academic, internship, project or professional experience in software development
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as C, C++

WE VALUE

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, mathematics.
  • Object-oriented programming skills is of value. 
  • Experience in developing software for embedded systems is of value
  • Passion for continuous learning and professional development
