Job Description
Your contribution to something big:
As an Embedded Developer for ctrlX AUTOMATION, you’ll collaborate with an international team across Portugal and Germany to develop, validate, and enhance safety-critical systems that power automation solutions.
Key areas of responsibility:
- Drive the design and development of safety-critical solutions within the ctrlX AUTOMATION architecture.
- Create and enhance firmware and ctrlX AUTOMATION Apps leveraging Linux systems.
- Perform rigorous validation of functional safety protocols to ensure top-tier quality.
- Innovate and execute thorough test cases to safeguard system reliability.
- Analyze and resolve issues, ensuring system integrity and performance.
Qualifications
What we are looking for:
- Knowledge of real-time control systems and embedded development.
- Embedded programming experience (2-3 years) and proficiency in high level programming languages like C/C++.
- Strong communication skills in English (speaking, listening, reading, writing).
What distinguishes you:
- Education: Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field;
- Experience
- Prior experience in front-end development (e.g., Angular).
- Familiarity with container technologies for Linux (e.g., Snap, Docker).
- Knowledge of industrial automation technology, including field buses (e.g., EtherCAT, PROFINET).
- Experience with functional safety standards (e.g., EN 61508, EN 13849, EN 62061).
- Know-how: Experience with Agile methodologies and collaborative software development;
- Languages: English proficiency (essential);
- Working Style and Methods: Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail;
- Personality: Collaborative approach with a global team perspective.
