Airbus Commercial is looking for an Embedded / Simulation Software Development Engineer (f/m) based in Toulouse, France.
You will join the Avionics or Simulation Software department, part of the Avionics and Simulation Products engineering domain.
This organization acts as an internal supplier of avionics equipment and simulators. Engineers in this domain are responsible for the design, development, production, and support of critical embedded products (e.g., Flight Controls, Flight Warning, Communication, Maintenance Equipment) or Simulation Softwares for all Airbus aircraft. It also serves as the Chamber of Reference (CoR) for Software and Electronics and Simulation, thanks to its highly skilled and experienced teams. In some cases, the activity scope also extends to other Airbus divisions and external partners.
Your challenges:
=> You will be part of a dynamic software team developing embedded avionics (e.g., Flight Controls)
You will be responsible for the end-to-end development of avionics real-time or simulation software. This includes applying robust software engineering methodologies and tools, complying with airworthiness regulations, and balancing technical, business, and industrial considerations.
This position requires experience in software development for embedded critical operating systems.
You will operate in a highly regulated environment (DO178B/C, DAL A to C software):
Implement the full V-cycle of embedded real-time low level software (OS, I/O, system partitions, network), from high-level specification analysis to integration and validation on final hardware
Understand and challenge customer needs to propose reusable and harmonized solutions
Conduct integration and verification activities using test tools (probes, bus analyzers, emulators, etc.)
Provide support: analyze failure reports and respond to technical queries
Contribute to process improvements and introduce innovative solutions and technologies
You will report to a manager responsible for a portfolio of avionics software products, within an agile organization with flexible role assignments.
Your boarding pass:
Educated to an engineering degree or equivalent, preferably in Aeronautics or Embedded Systems or Computer Science
Programming languages: C in critical embedded context
Software engineering methods and tools (standard DEVOPS environment)
Experience with V-cycle development
Negotiation level of English and French
