- Perform requirements analysis for embedded device functionality in the connectivity domain.
- Design and maintain test coverage for new features and device functionality.
- Analyze and improve existing test coverage.
- Create and maintain test documentation, including test plans, test reports, and traceability matrices.
- Execute test cases according to established test plans.
- Report, track, and support defect resolution throughout the development lifecycle.
- Prepare and communicate test execution reports.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop new functionality and enhance existing features.
- Support the maintenance and continuous improvement of the Connectivity Lab and testing equipment, including Wi-Fi infrastructure, cellular base stations, and related hardware.
- 3+ years of experience in manual testing, with hands-on experience testing embedded systems.
- Knowledge of software testing methodologies and experience creating test documentation
- Experience in Linux/UNIX environments, including command-line tools and log analysis.
- Strong understanding of networking fundamentals, including the OSI model, wired and wireless networking technologies.
- Understanding of embedded systems principles
- Experience with bug tracking systems
- Ability to root-cause failures across software, firmware, and hardware
- Good communication skills and ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams
- Good written and spoken English
- Ability to work from our Kyiv lab when required.
- Experience testing networking or IoT devices
- Experience with cellular networking technologies (3G, LTE), GNSS, BLE, LoRa, LMR
- Network security knowledge (Firewalls, VPN, Wireless security, traffic encryption)
- Experience with audio/video data streaming
- Linux scripting with Bash, Zsh, and Python.
