The Email Marketing Specialist will be responsible for planning, developing, designing, executing, and tracking results from the overall email marketing strategy including ongoing campaigns for multiple business lines, including Kelsey-Seybold Clinic, KelseyCare Advantage, and KelseyCare Commercial Plans service lines. The Email Marketing Specialist will operate as a creative and operational leader, responsible for managing email campaigns and project management support.
Primary Responsibilities:
  • 70% Email Marketing Design and Build
    • Establishes email program goals and meets them consistently.
    • Works within processes including use of Salesforce Sales Cloud and Marketing Cloud for campaign delivery and effectiveness reporting. Manages software vendor relationships, conducts vendor assessments, and drives implementation plan.
    • Coordinates and monitors the maintenance, integrity, and security of the email marketing database.
    • Functions as an internal expert with Legal/IT regarding CANSPAM and other legal/compliance legislation.
    • Develops policies and procedures for email rollouts based on legal/compliance, conducts staff training within the department, and manages/tracks email databases for compliance.
    • Ability to analyze technical requirements and communicate needs.
    • Conducts ongoing surveys to obtain customer feedback.
    • Optimize current email campaigns and strategies, delivering measurable impact, and using and further developing analytics to compute ROI.
    • Maintain strict overview and quality control to make sure all emails are being sent to the correct SFMC lists.
  • 15% Creative and Design
    • Collaborate design, write/compose/edit for emails as needed. Can work with members of the marketing, sales, and creative teams, both internal and external assets, to deliver effective completed product.
    • Develops email designs with a "mobile-first" mindset.
    • Designs and implements personalized email messages based on triggered events using personalization languages (smarty, amp script, etc.)
    • Troubleshoots HTML/CSS templates and personalization content blocks.
    • Shares email best practices, recent email results with Leadership and MarCom team monthly
    • Integrates video, images and other elements into successful campaigns and measures outcomes.
    • Troubleshoots CRM email sends/issues using SQL
  • 10% Performance Analytics & Reporting
    • A/B tests email messages on a consistent basis, develops calendar for testing.
    • Evaluates and optimizes all email content for effectiveness and shifts strategies where necessary.
    • Tracks and analyzes marketing campaigns.
    • Prepares and develops comprehensive weekly/monthly/ quarterly/and annual email campaign reports.
    • Discusses and offers insight on email reporting metrics to management.
  • 5% Other Jobs as Assigned

Required Qualifications:
  • 3+ years working in Marketing or related filed with hands on experience in email creation, distribution, and marketing experience
  • Experience in management of A/B tests and other strategic segmentations of email messaging, SMS and push notifications, scripting language, working in enterprise email platforms, reporting platforms (Power BI)
  • Experienced in full Salesforce Marketing Cloud Stack
  • Deep understanding of email personalization, definition of success metrics
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including an advanced knowledge of Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Proven ability to create and edit emails in HTML and CSS, including responsive email design
  • Proven ability to present email program metrics, action plans to executive team
  • Proven ability to adhere to CAN-SPAM laws and email marketing best practices
  • Proven ability to take direction and see projects and tasks through to completion
  • Proven solid attention to detail and deadline oriented
  • Proven critical thinking and the ability to tell the "why" story with reporting campaign performance
  • Proven solid organizational skills
  • Valid Texas Driver's License

  • Experience with Salesforce
  • Healthcare and health plan marketing experience
  • Knowledge of job tracking systems - Wrike
  • Solid familiarity with HTML

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The salary for this role will range from $60,200 - $107,400 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
