We’re looking for an Email Marketing Executive to plan, run and execute email campaigns that help grow our customer base - ultimately helping customers to understand what we’re all about. 

What you'll do...

• Write, build and send email campaigns to existing and prospective customers of Octopus EV, across both our business and consumer audiences 
• Develop and test email nurture campaigns to business prospects, warming them up via email content and working with our commercial team to convert them
• You’ll mix writing the emails yourself with briefing them into our expert content team
• You'll also build email templates inside our email platform with support from our design team
• You’ll also get stuck in to helping build and manage our marketing automations; mostly in the email space, but from time to time you’ll help with broader marketing automation work
• Test & learn, then, test & learn again! Optimise performance by running A/B tests, measuring and analysing results to make the best decisions
• Prioritise requests from other departments, ensuring that you can understand what activities will have the biggest impact for our business goals

What you'll need...

• Marketing experience - preferred but not essential, and even better if you’ve run email campaigns before 
• A data-driven approach - you’ll need to understand how your campaigns are performing which means analysing data and making recommendations for improvements
• Very strong written and verbal communication skills - you’ll be writing emails that will be sent to thousands of people so accuracy, spelling and grammar is super important 
• A creative mindset - we don’t take a typical approach to marketing and we need you to think differently about the challenges we need to overcome 
• A can-do attitude - you need to be willing to roll your sleeves up and get stuck in 
• Ability to prioritise and think critically - there’s always a lot going on and loads of cool things we could do. You need to be able to decipher which tasks we should do 
• Great teamwork - you’ll need to work across the whole marketing team and wider business to make our campaigns a massive success
