About the Role:
We are a high-volume outbound email sender in a regulated environment (collections/financial services). We are seeking a Technical Email Deliverability & Infrastructure Specialist to ensure our emails land in inboxes — not spam folders. This role is focused on authentication, sender reputation, monitoring, remediation, and compliance protection, not copywriting or design.
Key Responsibilities:
Infrastructure & Authentication
- Configure and maintain SPF, DKIM, DMARC, BIMI, reverse DNS, tracking domains.
- Manage IP addresses, domain pools, warming schedules, and throttling rules. - Set up and maintain ESP / SMTP platforms (MailWiz, SendGrid, Mailgun, SES, etc.)
Deliverability & Reputation Monitoring:
- Track Google Postmaster Tools, Microsoft SNDS, Talos, MX Toolbox, SenderScore.
- Diagnose bounce types, spam complaints, throttles, and deploy remediation.
- Build list hygiene protocols (invalids, inactivity segments, spam traps, risky domains)
Compliance & Risk Mitigation:
- Ensure alignment with CAN-SPAM, TCPA, GDPR, and Reg F (if US-based collections).
- Coordinate with compliance team to validate templates against legal trigger rules.
- Enforce opt-out logic, suppression lists, unsubscribe routing.
Reporting & Performance Tracking:
- Maintain deliverability dashboards and flag early warning signs.
- Collaborate with campaign/content team on safe volume and domain usage strategy.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years in email deliverability, email infrastructure, or Postmaster-style operations.
- Experience configuring SPF/DKIM/DMARC and monitoring IP/domain reputation.
- Background in ESP platform setup, high-volume SMTP routing, or cold outbound deliverability.
- Analytical mindset — able to interpret deliverability logs, bounce codes, and ISP behaviors.
- Regulated industry experience (finance/SaaS/telecom/collections) is a major plus.
